WHAT IS STUDENT COUNCIL?
Student Council is a student-run organization full of dedicated individuals whose goal is to take action. Student Council sponsors events, raises money, donates to charity, and invokes change in the school from the school itself to the students and teachers who work hard every day. These events are not only fun, but they also promote school spirit and help the community.
IS STUDENT COUNCIL RIGHT FOR ME?
If you want to get involved with your school, raise your voice, and make a difference, then Student Council is the right choice for you! Not only can you learn how to effect change in school, but also in your own life with the development of leadership, decision-making, social, and critical thinking skills. Joining StuCo at JBMS also leads to an easy transition into high school, where there are various clubs and organizations you can contribute to using your new found skills, including a StuCo of their own!
